Ramen Noodles

Ramen Noodles

Ramen Noodles are about the cheapest meal that a person can acquire. These noodles come in packs, but grocery stores actually sell the noodles in single packs. That means that even the poorest person that hardly has any money for food can still afford a pack of ramen noodles.

Cheap, but Highly Salty

The Ramen Noodles are cheap, but it would not be wise to attempt to live solely off of these noodles. This is a meal that is high in salt content, and it would not be good for people with high blood pressure. The noodles would play a big part in weight gain if this was the only thing that a person consumed on a regular basis. It can be tempting though because a single person could save so much money.

A person that purchased 3 5-packs of Ramen Noodles, for example, could eat Ramen Noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They could eat these noodles for the entire week and only spend $3 for 15 meals. The fact that the noodles are cheap makes it an easy staple for college students that are low on cash.

Preparation

Some people will try to prepare Ramen Noodles on a stove top. This can be something of a waste of time. The water on the stove has to heat up. The noodles have to be extracted from the water in the pot that the noodles are cooking in. People that are microwaving noodles, however, will not have to do much of anything. They can pull the noodles in a bowl and set the microwave to about 4 minutes. Once this is done they can simply stir the noodles and put the sauce in. Placing the sauce in the noodles after the water has soaked in will keep the flavor strong.
